The physicians and midwives at Women's Healthcare Associates treat various problems of the female reproductive system, including cancer and pre-cancerous diseases,  incontinence of urine, amenorrhea (absent menstrual periods), dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods), endometriosis, hormonal deficiencies including menopause and PMS,  infertility,  menorrhagia (heavy menstrual periods), prolapse of pelvic organs and bladder and infections of the vagina (vaginitis) and pelvis.  We also perform annual wellness exams, pap smears and contraceptive advice. 

Our office performs a pap smear that analyzes for early cancer cell precursors as well as HPV presence.  With this new technology, pap smears are every 3-5 years depending on your age.  Nevertheless, an annual exam is still required to assess the uterus and ovaries, as well as the general history and physical, including blood work, immunizations and other diagnostic tests such as annual mammogram if 40 or over and colonoscopy at 50 years old.
